About Mouse

This is Mouse, my grey Thoroughbred. He’s 6 year old standing at 17hh and absolutely loves to jump, especially when we’re meant to be doing flat work. If there’s a puddle in the arena, he’ll find a way to jump over it like it’s a proper obstacle. Mouse is an off-the-track Thoroughbred who last raced in March last year, and his race name was Alertado.

He’s now enjoying paddock life and being ridden every day, which suits him really well. My goals with Mouse are to compete in events like the Magic Millions show jumping and the Badminton Horse Trials one day.

mouse also know a few trick that he loves to do he can lie down, smile picks you up from the monting block. if you ever ment mouse you would never thing he was a race horse he is a diffrent horse. but he get a bit psycho when we are doing otings but we are working on that

He’s got such a fun personality and always keeps things interesting. Some days he’s super calm and easy to ride, and other days he has a bit more energy and likes to test me. That’s part of working with an off-the-track Thoroughbred, and I’m learning a lot from him every time I ride. I’m really excited to keep training with him and see how far we can go together.

Most people say not to get Thoroughbreds because they can be high-energy and a bit challenging to manage. But in reality, Thoroughbreds are some of the most rewarding horses to work with. They have incredible heart and will always try their hardest for you. If you take the time to understand them and give them your trust, they’ll give you everything right back.

Mouse is everyone’s favourite horse, and it’s easy to see why. He has such a kind, fun personality that people are drawn to straight away. Whether he’s showing off his cheeky side or just being his calm, lovable self, he always makes people smile. He’s even my trainer’s favourite, and everywhere we go people are always asking if he’s for sale. He’s the kind of horse that leaves a lasting impression—once you meet Mouse, you don’t forget him.
