What I Pack in My Tack Bag (Real List)

When I head out to ride, I always make sure I’ve got everything I need in my tack bag. Over time I’ve figured out what’s actually useful and what just takes up space.

Here’s what I always bring with me:

My Tack Bag Essentials

• Gloves – Helps with grip and protects your hands
• Brush – Quick clean before and after riding
• Hoof pick – One of the most important tools
• Helmet – Always wear one for safety
• Hair ties – You’ll always need extras
• Water bottle – Riding can get hot, especially in summer

Extra Things I Sometimes Bring

• Fly spray
• Spare lead rope
• Treats for my horse
• A small towel

Final Thoughts

This is what works for me, but everyone’s tack bag is a bit different. As you ride more, you’ll figure out what you need the most.

If you’re just starting out, keep it simple and build from there.
